- File Handling Compared to FTP - Gigabyte Express preserves file creation and modification times. FTP sets file time to time of transfer. Gigabyte Express transfers files using the temporary name "NiwotTempDoNotUse" and only renames each file to its correct name once file transfer is complete and verified. FTP uses the original filename, even while the file is still in transit, or if the transfer is interrupted.
